CEBU, Philippines —  Close to 2,000 runners will be taking part in the Run for Gift of Life Year 3 scheduled on Sunday starting and ending at the Robinsons Galleria Cebu grounds.

Featuring the 1K, 3K, 8K and 16K categories, the charity race organized by the Rotary Club of Cebu is for the benefit of indigent children with congenital heart defects (CHD).

"Rotary Club of Cebu would like to thank Citreneland for being our title sponsor for three years now and Robinsons Galleria as venue partner. Special thanks to all the runners who has supported the run and giving kids with CHD a second lease in life," said race manager Melchor Alejandro. "We have about 1, 600 registered runners and we are a hundred percent ready for the race this Sunday."

The top 10 finishers in each category will receive a plaque, while all 8K and 16K finishers will get medals.

The organizers said they will set up an onsite registration during race day to cater those who would like to sign up and join the run.

Entry fee is pegged at P400 for the 1K and 3K, P500 for the 6K and P750 for the 16K inclusive of race bib, event shirt, and snacks.

For those who will not run but want to donate, one may visit rotarycebu.org.
