Aloysian Open weigh-lifting set May 17
CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu Weightlifting Association (CWA) and Sisters of Mary School - Boystown is spearheading another weightlifting event dubbed as
Aloysian Open Invitational Tournament slated May 17 at the SMS-Boystown campus in Minglanilla, Cebu.
The first event is open to all lifters aged 25-years-old above. Teams from Cebu and other neighboring provinces are expected to join the tournament.
Divisions to be contested are 49kgs, 55kgs, 67kgs, 73kgs, 81kgs, 89kgs and +89kgs in the boys youth category while the girls category will have the 45kgs, 49kgs, 55kgs, 59kgs, and 64kgs.
The winners in each divisions will be awarded with medals, while the ‘Best Lifter’ trophy will also be given to the top male and female lifters.
The tournament will follow technical and competition rules and regulations from the International Weightlifting Federation.
Out-of-town participants who wanted to stay overnight can avail the SMSB dormitory for accomodation with a minimal charge of P200 per night excluding food.
