From fourth place in 2018, the region slipped to fifth overall after the week-long athletic meet with 24 gold, 22 silver and 33 bronze medals.
Central Visayas capped its campaign with three gilts from football, tennis and badminton.

The Negrenses, however, returned the favor to CV in the secondary finals via the same 2-1 decision.
In tennis, the tandem of Daveain Therese Gauran and Shara Louise Paliwag of Negros Oriental sealed CV’s bid with a golden performance in the elementary girls doubles.
