Futsal event to kick off 5th Recoletos Cup
CEBU, Philippines — The 5th Inter-School Recoletos Cup opens with a futsal event on March 24 at the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Basak Campus gymnasium.
Aside from futsal, the other disciplines to be contested are basketball, volleyball, karatedo and football.
The futsal action is exclusive for girls featuring the Under 15 and 18 age groups.
The boys, for their part, will have the regular football event on April 7. Categories include the Under 7, 9, 11 and 13.
Karatedo, which is open to different weight classes, will take place on April 6-7, while basketball, featuring the Under 12, 15 and 18 divisions, will be played on April 6-8.
The volleyball competition will be staged on April 12-14 yet.
Prior to the Recoletos Cup, USJ-R is organizing a multi-sport clinic starting tomorrow. It covers badminton, basketball, chess, football, futsal, tennis, scrabble, table tennis, volleyball, karatedo, and taekwondo. (FREEMAN)
