El Tesoro stays on top in Alberto’s bowlfest
CEBU, Philippines — El Tesoro Turrones stayed on top of the leaderboard after a dominating performance in Day 2 of Alberto’s Pizza 11th Anniversary Bowling Invitational Tournament the other day at the SM City-Cebu Bowling Center.
Manned by Micmic Miranda, Jericho Jumapao, Jomar Jumapao, Luke Bolongan, Jaime Sainz and Dovie Sainz, El Tesoro accumulated a total of 5,031 pinfalls to inch closer to the championship with only two days left in the competition.
From fourth, the E.O. Bucoy Consultants of John Galindo, Brian Sy, Joshua Galarse, Docdoc Gothong and Joseph Yu climbed to second place with 4,942 pins.
The San Remigio Beach Club dropped to third with 4,892 followed by Ritch Banana Catsup with 4,877 pins.
Jepes Saver (4,767), CETBA Ladies (4,673), Five Star (4,553) and CETBA Juniors (3,834) occupied the fifth to eight spots, respectively.
Meanwhile, El Tesoro’s Micmic Miranda (278) posted the highest single individual score in the men’s division, while senior bowler Sonia Gakenholz (180) of Jepes Saver got the honor in the distaff side.
