El Tesoro takes early lead in Alberto’s kegfest

CEBU, Philippines —  El Tesoro Turrones sets the early pace in Alberto’s Pizza 11th Anniversary Bowling Invitational at the SM City-Cebu Bowling Center.

 

Micmic Miranda, Jericho Jumapao, Jomar Jumapao, Luke Bolongan, Jaime Sainz and Dovie Sainz combined for a total of 2,562 pinfalls for El Tesoro after Day 1 of the three-game series.

San Remigio Beach Club composed of Roland Bantilan, Ronan Barredo, Rey Velarde, Noel Tanyu, Joe Chu and Tony Ynoc momentarily runs at second place with 2,500 pinfalls, while Renato Reyes, Dale Reyes, Jane Calibugan, Omar Marsangca and Ging Francisco of Rich Banana Catsup is currently ranked third with 2,496 pins.

Occupying the fourth to eight spots were E. O. Bucoy Consultants (2, 433), CETBA Ladies (2,354), Jepes Saver (2,354), Five Star (2,223) and CETBA Juniors (1,918).

Jomar Jumapao (232) of El Tesoro and Cynthia Kua (188) of CETBA Ladies posted the highest individual scores in the men’s and women’s division.

Organized by the Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (CETBA), the champion team will pocket P20,000, while the second and third placer will get P15,000 and P10,000, respectively.

Game 2 is scheduled tonight at the same venue.
