Chepsiror, Andrin top Shakey's Fast at 40 Fun Run'

CEBU, Philippines — Teen runner Cherry Andrin of Spectrum Runners Club and Kenyan Eric Chepsiror stamped their respective classes in the 15K division of the 'Shakey's Fast at 40 Fun Run' yesterday at the SM City Cebu grounds.

Andrin was the first to reach the finishline in the women's class with a time of one hour, 12 minutes and 39 seconds. Her teammate Engiel Estillore placed second in 1:15:26 followed by Lucita Fernandez, who wound up third with 1:17:05 clocking.

In the men's side, Chepsiror claimed the title with a time of 53:50. Pinoy veteran Azlan Pagay was his closest pursuer with 56:06 clocking, while Samuel Shiff wound up third with a time of 57:03.

Meanwhile, Ruel Algofera and Janine Camansi emerged as the fastest runners in the 7K division.

Algofera ruled the men's class with a time of 25:25 followed by Ariel Saballa (26:15) and Rain de Corro (28:17), while Camansi snared the women's tiara with a time of 38:14. Virgita Soco (41:12) and Nerissa Abucay (41:52) occupied the next two spots. (FREEMAN)
