SHS-Ateneo, USJ-R booters fight for crown

CEBU, Philippines — The Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) and surprise finalist University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) will dispute the secondary boys football title of the 18th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) today at the Cebu City Sports Center.

Before SHS-Ateneo takes on USJ-R at 10 a.m., the Don Bosco Technical College and the University of San Carlos-BED will battle for third place honors at 8 am.

SHS-Ateneo barged into the final round with a thrilling 2-1 win over USC-BED, while USJ-R booked the other final ticket after stunning the erstwhile defending champion Don Bosco, 1-0.

SHS-Ateneo lost to Don Bosco in last year's final, while USJ-R is making its first ever championship appearance.
