Accenture, Teleperformance down foes in E-Leagues

CEBU, Philippines — The Accenture Sharks and Teleperformance Vipers continued to perch atop the Elite Classic leaderboard after downing separate foes in the Tanduay Athletics E-Leagues for Basketball Season 14 at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym over the weekend.

Clarence Rhoy Torre had a breakout performance of 23 points as the Sharks pummeled the ePerformax Reds, 90-63, to stay on top of the totem pole with an 8-1 win-loss mark.

Torre was backed up by Marc Vincent Cabague with 14 points, Ryan Miano with 10, and Aldene Batino with eight points, 11 rebounds, eight steals and three assists in an all-around hardcout show for the Sharks.

Nolan de la Peña unloaded 30 points, Robert Gilo scored 16 and Rafael Jose Cuico had 14 but to no avail as the Reds fell to 2-6.

On the other hand, Marcos Genteli Jungoy III whipped up 17 points, Gamaliel Bas added 16 points, 15 rebounds, and two assists as the Vipers walloped the Fusion BPO Services Dragons, 78-69, to breath down Accenture’s neck with a 7-1 slate.

Aldrin Fernandez pumped in 32 points, whle Niño Belande churned out 16 markers, 10 rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals but their efforts proved futile as Dragons suffered their fifth loss in seven games.

In the EVO League, Steven Cabanday led five players in double figures with 21 points, nine rebounds, six steals, and six assists as the Tech Mahindra Tech Solutions crushed the Shearwater Health Crusaders, 86-49, to raise their mark to 5-1, while Mark Dhaniel Caumeran, Jhomer Domenick Geraldizo and Vito Perez connived for 34 points as the Optum Knights evened their record to 3-3 with a 74-50 shellacking of the Bombardier Grey Wolves.
