Teleperformance, Sykes keep winning ways in E-Leagues

CEBU, Philippines — The Teleperformance Vipers and Sykes Pioneers sustained their winning ways to stay in the upper echelon of Elite Classic standings in the Tanduay Athletics E-Leagues for Basketball Season 14 at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym last Sunday.

Germaine Jo Michael Guarisma topscored with 22 points, six assists, six steals, and five rebounds to power the Vipers to an 83-76 beating of the Fusion BPO Services Dragons.

Marcos Genteli Junggoy III dropped 20 points and Gamaliel Bas had a double-double show of 10 points and 11 rebounds as the Vipers earned a share of lead with the Accenture Sharks on identical 6-1 win-loss records.

Nino Belande scattered 29 points, 15 rebounds, six assists, and three steals but his efforts proved futile as the Dragons suffered their fourth loss in six starts.

In the other game, Jan Michael Auditor exploded for 31 points laced with seven rebounds and two assists as the Pioneers hammered the QBE Generals, 100-72.

Zander Villacorta chipped in 16 markers and Earldred Cesar Montilla tallied 11 points for the Pioneers, who now hold a 6-2 slate.

Johnrey Girasol, Jecon Bonsucan and Stuart Foot had a combined total of 54 points that went down the drain as the Generals crashed to their fourth setback against a solitary win.

In the EVO League,  Al Jairro Magsanay, Jan Pierre Gellez and Dejay Bacus connived for 37 points as CTC BPO Panthers drubbed the Streamline Kangaroos, 74-49, to even their record to 2-2, while Rainier Dominic Obenza and John Lorenzo Segarra had 14 points each as the Dyninno Jets downed the Shearwater Health Crusaders, 59-52, to raise their mark to 2-1.
