"RACE to Serve" slated September 1
CEBU, Philippines — The Civil Service Commission-Regional Office 7 will stage the seventh edition its CSCRO7 Fun Run dubbed as "RACE to Serve" on September 1 at the Central Command (CENTCOM) in Camp Lapu-Lapu, Barangay Apas, Cebu City.
To be held simultaneously in all CSC satellite offices nationwide, the fun run will kick off the month-long celebration of the Philippine Civil Service Commission's 118th anniversary this September.
Featuring the 4K and 7K distances, the charity race is for the benefit of the families of public servants who died in the line of duty. Its proceeds will go to CSC's Pondong Pamanang Lingkod Bayani (PLBi) that provides scholarships and financial assistance to the families of government employees.
"We encouraged and invite everyone, both private and public individuals, to join the race. In this activity, you will not just be running for yourself but you will also be able to help this noble cause which provides support to the family of those public servants who died in the performance of their duty," said CSCRO7 Chief Human Resource Specialist Prolaine Daclan.
The top three finishers in the 7K category will receive P4,000, P3,000 and P2,000, respectively, while the 4K winners will get P2,500, P2,000 and P1,000.
Registration fee is pegged at P350 for 4K and P400 for 7K. Entry forms are available at the CSC Regional Office 7 in Barangay Sudlon in Lahug.
