Tabuelan 111 triathlon revs off today

CEBU, Philippines —  The Tabuelan 111, one of the top triathlon events in this side of the country, will kick off early morning today with close to 400 entries in action starting and ending at the Maravilla Beach Resort.

After going for a full Ironman last year, the race is back to its original distance of a two-kilometer swim, 88km bike, and 21km run.

The participants have the option to do half or the full distance.

Aside from the individual battle featuring several age groups, there's also a relay competition for both distances.

The event also serves as a tuneup for triathletes competing in the Ironman 70.3 Asia-Pacific Championships this August Shangrila’s Mactan Resort and Spa in Lapu-Lapu City.
