Ravena due in Cebu for basketball skills and performance workshop

CEBU, Philippines — Epic Performance and Fitness will be bringing in PBA star Keifer Ravena of the NLEX Road Warriors here in the Queen City of the South for a basketball skills and performance workshop on June 16 at the City Sports Club-Cebu.

Pio Solon, one of the organizers, said the rationale for this event was the realiziation that in order for their budding cagers to be the best that they can be, they have to learn from the best.

And Ravena, from his time in Ateneo during his junior playing days up to the pofessional level with NLEX, has shown to be one of the finest players the coutnry has produced.

Ravena's outstanding performance is not by luck but a result of a sound preparation in both his skills and his strength and conditioning, according to Solon.

"We also want out basketball players to experience how it feels being actually coached by one of your basketball idols and feel what it is to be trained by his strength and conditioning coach," said Solon during a press conference yesterday at Eataliano's Restaurant in Oakridge Business Park.

The participants will be working through basketball skills with Ravena, while Marc Caron, will lead the participants through Ravena's physical preparation program.

"We believe that the knowkledge that will be shared during this workshop will prove invaluable to the participants as they look to improve their playing abilities and physical preparation," said Solon.

"We hope that with this basketball skills and performance workshop, Keifer Ravena and his coach Mark Caron can impart not only the skills and the techniques necessary to make it to the elite level but also the mindset that's needed to succeed in order to be a phenomenal athletes," he added.

Entry fee is pegged at P1,800 inclusive of lunch, snacks and certificate and entitles the participant to a raffle draw for Epic Gym membership and other freebies. One may register at the Epic Performance and Fitness at Oakridge Business Park. (EBV)
