TLTG Tigers roar to resounding victory in TriMerida
CEBU, Philippines — The Talisay Luigi Triathlon Group (TLTG) Tigers dominated the TriMerida 2018 recently in Merida, Leyte.
Trained by coaches Rolando “Andoy” Remolino, Mary Joana Remolino, and the legendary Tatay Boyax Pagnanawon, the TLTG Tigers scored a clean sweep in the overall male sprint distance led by gold medal winner CJ Lipura. Psalm Daniel Aquino settled for the silver, while Denver Dayonot took the bronze.
Moira Frances Erediano placed third in the overall female sprint distance, and Nicole Marie Del Rosario ranked first in the women's 18-39 age group.
The TLTG Cubs were also victorious in the Super Tri Kids category, with Earol Shoemaker Belonguil, Vince Kais, and Jacob Kennedy Lipura sweeping the top three honors in the 10-13 male group.
On the other hand, Jeanna Cañete and Fresh Lorraine Seguerra came up with a 1-3 finish in the 10-13 female group, while Van Winsy Pagnanawon clinched the top honors followed by Rhexiel Shoemaker Belonguil in the 6-9 age category.
TLTG was formed to develop young athletes and become the best version of themselves in spite of their lack of resources. From their humble beginnings, they are now winning competitions nationwide and true to their 'tiger' spirit, these young aspiring triatletes roared with all their might in the TriMerida 2018.
