Tabac, Andrin top Argao Trail Run
CEBU, Philippines — Elias Tabac and Cherry Andrin ruled their respective divisions in the 7th Argao Highland Endurance Trail Run the other day in Argao town, southern Cebu.
Tabac crossed the finish line in two hours, 18 minutes and 44 seconds to top the men's division followed by pro-boxer Ian Rafuela with 2:20:40 clocking. Florendo Lapiz wound up third in 2:21:43.
In the women’s side, Andrin emerged as the fastest after finishing the race in three hours, 17 minutes and 38 seconds. Jelma Monsanto placed second in 3:18:33, while Cherry’s older sister Lovely settled for third in 3:36:45.
The race, which starts at Pueblo de Argao and finish at the Coal Mountain Resort, features a 25-kilometer race route with different natural obstacles.
A total of 132 participants experienced crossing rivers, passing waterfalls and climbing rock boulders during the race. (FREEMAN)
