Danao to host Phl leg of ASEAN bikefest

CEBU, Philippines -  Danao City will play host to  the first round of the 2015 ASEAN Mountainbike Cup set on January 23 to 25.

The registration period for the biggest mountainbike race in Southeast Asia was launched yesterday in the event’s website.

This year's staging is composed of five legs starting in the Philippines, then followed by Malaysia, Timor Leste, Indonesia and Thailand.

More riders are expected to see action in the race as it is sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). All legs will be under C3 classification, which includes the men and women's elite cross-country, elite downhill and men and women's cross-country.

Registration fee is pegged at $50.
