Mitchelle L. Palaubsanon - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines —  At least four towns in the fifth district of Cebu received a brand new ambulance each from Deputy House Speaker and Fifth District Rep. Vincent Franco “Duke” Frasco.

Frasco turned over the ambulances to the towns of Pilar and San Francisco in Camotes and Compostela and Catmon in the mainland recently.

The turnover was witnessed by the officials of the Department of Health (DOH)-7. Mayor Jury Quiño of Compostela, Mayor Avis Monleon of Catmon and Mayor Winky Santiago of Pilar personally received the ambulance for their towns while Councilor Aurelia Andrade of San Francisco accepted the ambulance on behalf of her town.

Frasco said the new ambulances are complete with stretchers and medical equipment and supplies to help address the emergency needs and improve the public healthcare services of the people in his district.

Aside from the new ambulances, Frasco, who is former mayor of Liloan, also distributed three brand new Duke Patrols for Barangays Yati, San Vicente and Jubay in Liloan. According to Frasco, he recognized the importance of mobility in the maintenance of peace and order in the barangay.

The Duke Patrols were procured out of Frasco’s personal funds. Liloan Mayor Aljew Frasco together with barangay captains received the mobile cars. — FPL (FREEMAN)
