Three incoming Cebu solons join Lakas-CMD
CEBU, Philippines — Three incoming Cebuano lawmakers recently joined one of the powerful political parties in the Uniteam coalition of President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.
Sixth District Rep. Emmarie Ouano-Dizon, who is the incoming representative of the Mandaue City Lone District, Congresswoman-elect Daphne Lagon of the 6th District, and Congressman-elect Edsel Galeos of the 2nd District took their oath as new members of Lakas-CMD.
Lakas-CMD president and House minority leader Martin Romualdez administered their oath which was held on June 13 at the Office of Vice President-elect Sara Duterte.
Dizon said her shift to Lakas-CMD is an opportunity to deliver more services for the people of Mandaue City.
“I wholeheartedly said yes to the invitation to join the Lakas-CMD. I see this as an opportunity to deliver more services for the people of Mandaue City, which I represent in Congress,” Dizon said
The incoming vice president is also the national chairman of the party.
Lakas-CMD is among the four parties under the Uniteam coalition that delivered a landslide victory for Marcos and Duterte in the recently concluded May 9, 2022 elections. The other parties in the coalition are Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, Hugpong ng Pagbabago and Pwersa nang Masang Pilipino. — FPL (FREEMAN)
