LTFRB-7 approves Naga’s public transport route plan
CEBU, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board-7 has recently approved the City of Naga Local Public Transport Route Plan (LPTRP).
LTFRB-7 regional director, Col. Eduardo C. Montealto, Jr., personally awarded the Notice of Compliance (NOC) to the City of Naga represented by Mayor Kristine Vanessa T. Chiong at the Naga City Mayor’s Office.
The key components of the PUVMP include Local Public Transport Route Planning (LPTRP) where local government units are required to prepare their own LPTRP.
The agency said that the LPTRP is implemented in their selective localities, routes rationalization that aims to address operational inefficiencies and worsening of traffic conditions, fleet modernization, industry consolidation, and social support mechanisms.
The LPTRP is in accordance with the Department of Transportation Department Order No. 2017-011, otherwise known as the Omnibus Guidelines on the Planning and Identification of Public Road Transportation Services and Franchise Issuance or simply known as the Omnibus Franchising Guidelines.
Also present during the awarding ceremony were the PUVMP-LTFRB7 team. In attendance also from the LGU were Engr. Arthur S. Villamor-Naga City Administrator and Engr. June Carlo S. Encabo-Engineer III, City Engineering Office. — GMR(FREEMAN)
