Carmen gets P38 million worth of projects from Capitol
CEBU, Philippines — Over P38 million worth of infrastructure projects have been given by the Cebu Provincial Government and the office of Fifth District Rep. Duke Frasco to the municipality of Carmen in northern Cebu.
On Monday, February 28, Governor Gwendolyn Garcia led the groundbreaking of two road projects in Carmen--the Dawi-Triumfo Road section (Phase III) worth P13.8 million and the Ipil Road section Phase III worth P21.4 million.
The projects are expected to be completed within 151 days. These road projects were among the priorities of the Garcia administration.
When she took over Capitol after winning the 2019 elections, Garcia allocated a considerable amount of funds for the concreting of the barangay and provincial roads.
During her visit to Carmen, Garcia told the residents that the road development is for the future generation, especially the farmers who need to bring their farm produce to the market.
Garcia also inaugurated the new barangay hall of Poblacion in Carmen worth P3 million. — FPL (FREEMAN)
