25 LTO-7 employees test positive for COVID-19

CEBU, Philippines —  Twenty-five employees of Land Transportation Office-7 have been infected with COVID-19 but operations at various offices of the agency continue.

LTO-7 director Victor Emmanuel Caindec said yesterday said that the region has 282 employees, 25 employees of whom were tested positive and are already under home isolation.

Those who are in close contacts of these COVID-19 positive personnel have also been placed on quarantine.

Caindec added that LTO-7 offices were already disinfected over the weekend.

Meanwhile, in Tudela town, Mayor Greman Solante said that vaccination and consultation in his town is suspended from January 18 to 20 after two personnel of Tudela Rural Health Unit tested positive for the virus.

The mayor, in his Facebook page, said that all personnel of their health unit underwent home quarantine after some of them went through rapid antigen test when they shows symptoms like cough and fatigue.

Solante added that contact tracing for those who are in close contact with those found positive started yesterday. — KQD (FREEMAN)
