Agus-Marigondon Road now open
CEBU, Philippines — Motorists can now use the 1,058 meters Ylaya-Paambakan Road as a diversion road for barangays of Marigondon, Subabasbas and Agus in Lapu-Lapu City.
After six months of works, the Department of Public Works and Highways through Cebu 6th District Engineering Office recently inaugurated the new road concreting project.
This new road concreting project was implemented by DPWH Cebu 6th DEO through the effort of Lapu-Lapu City Lone Representative Paz Radaza.
Radaza said that this road was opened during her time when she was the mayor or Lapu-Lapu City and she just continued the road concreting in her time as the city’s representative.
“Ato gyud ni gipaningkamotan nga maabli ni nga dalan sa time nga mayor pa ko kay kini man gud diri mahimo ni nga diversion road gawas sa Agus unya sa pikas side mogawas pud sa Marigondon ug Subabasbas,” Radaza said.
She said that the road opening would be a big help to lessen the traffic in those areas.
“Dako gyud ni og makatabang nga mga lessen ang traffic labi na diri sa may Marigondon crossing kay pwede ra man mo shortcut diri ang mga motorista nga moadto sa Agus habig,” Radaza said.
Aside from this road concreting project, Radaza will also inaugurate more infrastructure projects such as road widening, drainage projects and road asphalting in the coming days. — GMR (FREEMAN)
