Dead man found in Sudlon II remains unidentified
CEBU, Philippines — Authorities have yet to identify the man who was found dead in a Cebu City upland village and determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
The man whose hands and feet were tied with duct tape was dumped in a drainage along the road in a secluded area in Sitio Marag, Barangay Sudlon II. His body was discovered by a child who passed by the area Saturday afternoon.
The case investigator of Pardo Police Station said they are prioritizing the identification of the victim to be able to get leads from his family members.
“No name, no leads yet on the victim’s death. We are still conducting a follow-up investigation,” the investigator said.
Barangay Councilman Juan Bacus said no identification card was recovered from the victim, but said he could be in his 50s.
He said the victim’s head was crushed and face disfigured, no longer recognizable.
“Di na mahitsura iya nawong kay nabuak iyang ulo, nawasak iyang utok,” he said.
He believed that the dead body had already been there since Friday night. — KQD (FREEMAN)
