No hurry for Gwen to get jab
"As it is kulang pa man gani ta og vaccines, so as of now it's premature for me to answer that. Ang ako lang gyud nga kadto lang gyud unta gipang-prioritize maoy atong unahon," Garcia.

CEBU, Philippines —  For Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, getting a jab against the coronavirus disease is a personal choice of an individual.

With the shortage of vaccine in the country, Garcia said it is "premature" for her to say that she will get the vaccine now.

"As it is kulang pa man gani ta og vaccines, so as of now it's premature for me to answer that. Ang ako lang gyud nga kadto lang gyud unta gipang-prioritize maoy atong unahon," Garcia.

The governor furthered she is in full support of the government’s vaccination program.

In Cebu Province, Minglanilla Mayor Elanito Peña was the first local chief executive who got his first dose of vaccine with Sinovac brand.

Some mayors also expressed interest in getting a jab like Madridejos Mayor Salvador dela Fuente who said that he is fine with any brand for as long as it protects him against the virus.

Local chief executives are among the A4 priority list of the government's vaccine rollout in the country. — GMR (FREEMAN)
