Motorcycle club extends aid to poor

CEBU, Philippines —  One of Cebu’s most pro-active motorcycle clubs, the Max Scooter Club of the Philippines-Cebu (MSCP), has successfully maneuvered back-to-back projects this week with two separate groups both to help the underprivileged kids and seniors.

MSCP through the initiative mainly by its Lapu-Lapu chapter members fixed the gate of the Christ Faith Children’s Home Foundation in Sitio Kapaping, Basak, Lapu-Lapu City.

Aside from that, MSCP also cemented the basketball courts of the said foundation with the hopes of keeping the children under its care healthy and active.

MSCP-Cebu president, Joher Lawas told The Freeman that most of the children under the said foundation are either abused or abandoned by their parents while others have parents who are behind bars.

Right after turning over the two completed projects in Lapu-Lapu, MSCP proceeded with its project with the personnel of the first Police Mobile Force Company’s Unsung Warriors of the North led by PLt.Col Roderick Gonzales and its advisory council and the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation over the weekend.

The group distributed 50 packs of relief goods and 25 pairs of breeders (male and female chicken) to the poorest of the poor in Cansomoroy, Balamban town in midwest Cebu.

“Aside sa relief goods, nanghatag mi’g pair of chicken, male and female nya sila na magbuhi ani as a livelihood program,” said Lawas.

Aside from doing feeding programs during its charity rides, MSCP has levelled up to putting up long last-lasting programs especially for the benefit of the poor.

On the other hand, the Force Commander, PLTCOL. Gonzales also extended a token of appreciation to participating barangay health care workers of Cansomoroy for their unwavering support in helping 1st PMFC outreach program, a huge success.  — KQD (FREEMAN)
