P10 million worth of shabu seized in Consolacion
CEBU, Philippines — Authorities have confiscated at least P10 million worth of illegal drugs from two high-value individuals in buy-bust operation Friday night in Barangay Casili, Consolacion.
The operation was jointly conducted by Consolacion police led by station chief, Police Major Vernino Noserale, members of the Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas.
Arrested during the operation were Mark John Rabanes, 26, and Diomel James Rebusa, 27, both from Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental but are temporarily residing along B. Rodriguez Street, Cebu City.
Noserale said they had difficulty to monitor and transact with the suspects since November last year.
Cebu Provincial Police Office director, Police Colonel Aladin Collado, has lauded the Consolacion police for the successful operation.
Consolacion Mayor Joannes Alegado also thanked the police, saying he hopes that more drug personalities in town will be arrested.
The suspects, who are detained at Consolacion Police Station, have denied the allegations, saying that they are just delivering the items. — GMR (FREEMAN)
