CEBU, Philippines — One hundred thirty people were rounded up by Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) operatives over curfew violations.

They were arrested during the implementation of another synchronized “Oplan Bulabog” in the city Thursday night. They reportedly violated the 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. city-wide curfew.

Police Lt. Colonel Wilbert Parilla, CCPO director for operations, said most of them were apprehended in Barangay Pardo while having drinking sessions and other leisure activities.

“Ang uban gikan lang nanuroy,nag-inom,mupasangil lang nga naay gilakaw naay giadto, but mostly gikan ra gyud ug mga kalingawan. It was their first offense,” he said.

They were later turned over to the city’s Prevention, Restoration, Order, Beautification and Enhancement (PROBE) team and made to pay an administrative fine.

Parilla warned the public to strictly abide by the city’s curfew and health protocols to avoid getting arrested.

“At first ato lang gyud sila gi-remind maong wala kaayo tay nadakpan kato rang mga gahi kaayog ulo nga makig lantugi pa. But starting yesterday (Thursday), everyday na ni sya, wala na tay pasayloon kay one way ni nga atong mapunggan ang mga tawo nga mag suroy-suroy bisan walay importante,” he said.

On Wednesday, authorities also rounded up 44 people. — KQD (FREEMAN)
