127 quarantine violators nabbed in Lapu-Lapu City

Romeo T. Limpangog - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines —  One twenty-seven individuals were arrested by Lapu-Lapu City police for violating quarantine protocols on the eve of the feast of Our Lady of Rule, the city’s patroness.

The city commemorated the 285th feast day of its patroness yesterday.

Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan said the city re-imposed stricter quarantine measures, including the arrest of erring residents, to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

“Mas ipa-estrikto pa nato ang pagpanakop aron walay hinugdan nga mosaka ang COVID-19,” he said. — KQD (FREEMAN)
