Cebu City policemen get motorcycle riding course

CEBU, Philippines —  The Metro Cebu Highway Patrol Team has conducted a motorcycle riding course for policemen of Cebu City Police Office.

The team’s head, Police Captain Maria Alicia Valera, said the event is in preparation for the holiday season where street crimes are expected to rise as more people come to the city.

Valera said that with the support of Highway Patrol Group, motorcycle rider instructors have demonstrated the proper motorcycle movements and handling.

“Yan po ang programa din po ng ating Chief PNP so ayun po with the help of our regional chief, our Regional Chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Placido siya po yung aming regional chief po ng Highway Patrol kami po ay yung guidance niya po at saka galing po sa headquarters natin ay ini-implement po natin sa Region-7,” Valera said.

Valera stressed the importance of the motorcycle riding course for the policemen in Cebu City to minimize accidents.

“We always keep the road safety yung ating mga kababayan dito maalagan din natin, so yun po ituturo po ang proper handling nga motorcycle,” added Valera.  — GMR (FREEMAN)
