Cebu cities, province record no new COVID-19 deaths

CEBU, Philippines —  The tri-cities of Cebu, Mandaue, and Lapu-Lapu as well as Cebu Province recorded no new COVID-19 deaths last Tuesday, according to the Department of Health (DOH)-7 data.

As shown in its official Facebook page, the total deaths in the cities of Cebu, Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu, and Cebu Province remain at 662, 127, 92, and 328, respectively.

In Cebu City, 29 new cases were recorded putting the total cases to 9,778 with 316 active cases.

The total recoveries are at 8,800 after recording 68 additional recoveries.

The same DOH-7 data showed Mandaue City has a total of 2,338 cases with 247 active cases. There were seven additional cases recorded.

The total recoveries are at 1,964, as 10 new recoveries were recorded in the city.

Lapu-Lapu City has a total of 2,260 COVID-19 cases, 190 of these are active.  There were six new cases recorded based on the latest DOH-7 update.

The total number of recoveries is 1,978, three of which are newly reported.

Cebu Province, for its part, has 5,111 total cases, 582 of these are active, after recording 52 new more.

The total number of recoveries is at 4,201, nine of these are new.

As of Tuesday, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Central Visayas is 19,898 with 1,485 active cases, 17,194 total reported recoveries, and 1,219 total reported deaths. — GAN (FREEMAN)
