Cebu tri-cities, province record no new deaths

CEBU, Philippines —  The tri-cities of Cebu, Mandaue, and Lapu-Lapu, as well as Cebu Province, recorded no new COVID-19 deaths last Sunday, according to the Department of Health (DOH)-7 data.

As shown in its official Facebook page, the total deaths in the cities of Cebu, Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu, and Cebu Province remain at 661, 127, 92, and 327, respectively.

In Cebu City, 22 new cases were recorded, putting the total cases to 9,742, with 385 active cases.

The total recoveries are at 8,696 after recording 28 additional recoveries.

The same DOH-7 data showed that Mandaue City has a total of 2,327 cases with 256 active cases. There were nine additional cases recorded.

The total recoveries remain at 1,944, as no new recovery was recorded in the city.

Lapu-Lapu City has a total of 2,249 COVID-19 cases, 185 are active.  There were two new cases recorded based on the latest DOH-7 update.

The total number of recoveries is 1,972, eight of which are newly reported.

Cebu Province, meanwhile, has 5,053 total cases with 583 active cases after recording 26 additional cases.

The total number of recoveries is 4,143, of which 33 are new.

As of Sunday, the total COVID-19 cases in Central Visayas are 19,772 with 1,549 active cases, 17,006 total reported recoveries, and 1,217 total reported deaths. — GAN (FREEMAN)
