Cebu City logs 12 new cases
CEBU, Philippines — Cebu City has recorded 12 new COVID-19 cases and two new deaths last Tuesday, according to the Department of Health (DOH)-7 data.
As shown on its official Facebook page, the total number of cases in the city is 9,702 with 345 active cases, while the total deaths is at 660.
The total recoveries remained at 8,697, as no new recovery was recorded.
The cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu had recorded three and six new cases, respectively, and both recorded no new death.
Mandaue City has 2,291 cases, of which 291 are active.
There were eight new recoveries reported bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,889.
The total number of deaths remained at 111.
Lapu-Lapu City has a total of 2,238 COVID-19 cases with 213 active cases.
The total number of recoveries is at 1,934, two of which were newly reported.
The total number of deaths stayed at 91.
Cebu Province, meanwhile, has recorded 18 new cases and 27 new deaths.
The total number of cases in the province is at 4,778 with 702 active cases.
Dr. Mary Jean Loreche, DOH-7 chief pathologist and spokesperson, clarified that the total recoveries in the province is at 2,091 after recording 117 additional recoveries.
“That of Minglanilla, Consolacion, and Talisay are separated,” said Loreche through a text message.
The total number of deaths is at 323.
As of Tuesday, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Central Visayas is at 19,398 with 1,694 active cases, 16,509 total reported recoveries , and 1,195 total reported deaths. — GAN (FREEMAN)
