Cebu City logs just 11 new cases, zero deaths
Based on the latest update of the Department of Health in Central Visayas published on its official Facebook page, the city had a total of 9,222 confirmed cases with 1,724 active cases.

CEBU, Philippines —  Cebu City was able to continue its streak of recording fewer coronavirus infections with only 11 new cases and no new deaths logged on Monday, August 10.

Based on the latest update of the Department of Health in Central Visayas published on its official Facebook page, the city had a total of 9,222 confirmed cases with 1,724 active cases.

The total deaths remained at 603.

There were 34 additional recoveries, putting the total to 6,895.

The same DOH-7 data showed that Mandaue City has a total of 2,073 cases with 901 active cases as six new cases were recorded.

There were 44 new recoveries reported which put the total to 1,096.

The total deaths stood at 76 as two new deaths were reported per the latest update.

In Lapu-Lapu City, there is a total of 1,988 COVID-19 cases with 733 active cases. Only eight new cases were reported.

The total number of recoveries was pegged at 1,182, nine of these new.

The total deaths remained at 73 as no new death was reported.

In Cebu Province, the total number of cases was at 2,101, with 696 active cases. The province recorded 18 additional cases.

The total recoveries already reached 1,285 as 104 new recoveries were recorded.

After recording one new death, the total deaths was now at 120.

As of Monday, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Central Visayas was at 17,305 with 4,409 active cases, 11,887 total reported recoveries, and 1,009 total reported deaths.  — JMD (FREEMAN)
