Cebu City logs 369 recoveries
CEBU, Philippines — Cebu City has registered more recoveries from the coronavirus yesterday.
Mayor Edgardo Labella has announced that there were 369 new recoveries, bringing the tally to 1,557 or 60.28 percent.
Most of the recoveries were from the city jail, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) where at least 339 cases were recorded.
The other new recoveries were from Barangays Basak Pardo (10), Mambaling with eight, Poblacion Pardo with four, Inayawan with two; and San Nicolas Proper with two.
Barangays Duljo, Suba, Pasil, and Ermita had one new recovery each.
On the other hand, Cebu City Health Department (CCHD) has recorded one new death from Barangay Sawang Calero.
“Even with the new recoveries, I am also saddened to report that we have one new death from Barangay Sawang Calero. My condolences to the bereaved family,” said Labella.
The CCHD has recorded 73 new COVID-19 cases yesterday.
Most of the cases were from Barangay Camputhaw with 19; Barangay Carreta with eight; and Barangay Duljo with six.
Two new cases were recorded each from Barangays Basak Pardo, Bulacao, BJMP, Bo. Luz, Calamba, Guadalupe, Lahug, Mabolo, Mambaling, Pasil, Tejero, Tinago, and Tisa.
Barangays Banilad, Basak San Nicolas, Busay, Capitol, Ermita, Inayawan, Pahina Central, Pit-os, Quiot, San Jose, Sambag-1, San Nicolas Proper, T. Padilla, and Talamban added one case each.
This brings the total number of cases in the city to 2,583. Of which 995 are active cases. GAN (FREEMAN)
