LTO-7 resumes releasing of plates
CEBU, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office-7 has resumed the distribution of motor vehicle plates starting yesterday until April 30 this year.
LTO-7 regional director Victor Caindec said 30,000 vehicle plates are up for distribution covering four-wheeled vehicles registered from January to December of 2015 and 2016 except for plate series from GEB 2999 to GEB 9895 and GEC1220 to GEC 2000.
Caindec has urged vehicle owners to claim their plates to avoid being apprehended and penalized.
“Daghan na nadakpan for failure to attach proper plates. Claim your plates at our temporary offsite printing office, City Wing at SM Seaside City from Monday to Saturday,” Caindec said.
Distribution starts from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
The LTO-7 started releasing motor vehicle plates on February 13 until February 19. It was extended for another week but only 1,921 plates were claimed. Caindec said there are also 476 special plates now ready to be released.
These special plates were registered from January to December 2015, January to June 2016 and January to April 2017.
