Lorraine L. Ecarma - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — The Province of Cebu has asked its local government units to create their respective profiles for future policies and projects to be based upon.

Through a resolution authored by Sixth District Board Member Thadeo Jovito Ouano, the province urges its cities and municipalities along with their constituent barangays to comply with the resolution.

Ouano is the chairperson of the Committee on Peace and Order.

The profile will contain data on health and sanitation, solid waste, environment, traffic and disaster preparedness.

The data generated shall also be made accessible to the general public with the exception of data protected by the existing data privacy law.

"Such data… can be used to effectively analyze and decide a certain matter relative to the promotion of peace and order, feasibility study in the aspects of investments, health, sanitation and environmental compliance in the government's aim for a balanced and healthful ecology," read the resolution.

Copies of the resolution will be furnished to all mayors and barangay captains in the Province of Cebu. (FREEMAN)
