2 found dead

CEBU, Philippines — A 35-year-old man with alleged mental disorder was found dead in a small cave that he used as his shelter in Barangay Butong, Argao, southern Cebu early Saturday morning.

The victim was identified as Pablo Salandron Caminse, 35.

According to Police Major Rolan Aliser, Caminse’s mother, Florencia, was about to bring food for him in the cave at around 6 a.m. when she saw her son lying on the ground.

When the responding police officers checked Caminse, they found gunshot wounds on the head and in the back portion of Caminse's body courtesy of an undetermined caliber of firearm.

Caminse was brought to Isidro C. Kintanar Memorial Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Meanwhile, another man was found dead at Sitio Bangko, Barangay Valencia Carcar, Cebu at around 6 a.m. yesterday.

According to the Carcar Police Station, a concerned citizen reported that they heard a shot around 3 a.m. before the man’s body was found later. Police officers responded to the crime scene after receiving the report.

The victim was identified as Romeo Oca, 44, a resident of Sitio Kimba, Barangay San Roque, Talisay City.

According to Police Corporal Francisco Saberon, the victim was identified by his live-in partner Richil Endino, 37, who went to Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes in Carcar around after the police officers of Carcar called the Talisay police to check if a person missing there had been reported.

Oca was found dead by the highway of Sitio Bangko with several gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.
