3 persons arrested, P90T shabu seized

CEBU, Philippines — Drugs worth around P90,000 were seized from three men in a buy-bust operation and through a service of search warrant Tuesday.

Two medium sachets of shabu worth P35,360 were recovered from Lorenzo “Jay-R” Borgonia Jr, 30, while one medium and one small packs of shabu worth P35,360  and drug paraphernalia were seized from Engelbert Ardiente, 29.

Borgonia and Ardiente, who are both residents of Sitio Dita, Barangay Pulangbato in Cebu City, were arrested by cops through a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Executive Judge Macaundas Hadjirasol.

Both violated Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

Another drug suspect, 36-year-old Thom Federick Gabales, was also arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by personnel of Pardo Police Station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-7 in Sitio Sario, Barangay Bulacao, Cebu City.

Seized from Galales were six small sachets and one medium sachet of shabu weighing 2.3 grams worth P15,640 and P200 buy-bust money.

He will face drug charges for violating Section 5 (illegal selling of shabu) and Section 11 (illegal possession of shabu) of RA 9165. — Diane Leizle A. Ganar  (FREEMAN)
