Two women charged for selling P4.4M drugs

CEBU, Philippines — Two women including a senior citizen are facing charges in court for allegedly helping each other to sell shabu worth P4.4 million to a police decoy.

The Office of the Cebu City Prosecutor has recommended no bail for the two women’s temporary liberty.

Dolores Nadela Suchisa alias Inday, 31, and Lolita Tondo Mosqueda alias Lolita, 64, were charged for allegedly violating Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act before the court.

In an inquest proceeding, Suchisa and Mosqueda chose not to file counter-affidavits to answer the allegations filed against them. Instead, they manifested to face the charges in court.

In his affidavit, Patrolman Bryan Entrina of the Investigation Section of Special Operations Unit-PNP Drug Enforcement Group, said prior to the buy-bust operation, May 21, 2019 at Sitio Kamanggahan, Barangay Labangon, Cebu City, they received report that they were engaged in illegal drugs activities.

Entrina said they were able to confirm that Suchisa was a big-time illegal drug distributor in the area that can dispose of

100 grams up to one kilo of shabu depending on the available stock.

They conducted a buy bust operation at the Cebu City Veterans Memorial Park at Sitio Kamanggahan, Barangay Labangon, Cebu City.

Entrina said after the transaction was completed, they placed accused under arrest and seized 653.3655 grams of shabu.

Meanwhile, a man who visited the Mandaue City Jail was arrested after he tried to sneak one big pack of shabu stuffed in a condom and hidden in his buttocks at around 5 a.m. yesterday.

Arrested was Paulo Guinto, 30, of Barangay Luz.

Jail Officer 1 Julius Cagas, during the regular frisking of visitors, he was able to seize a lighter and one pack of cigarette from Guinto.  When the suspect was asked to remove his pants and underwear, he noticed the condom stuck in his buttocks.

He was ordered to remove the condom revealing the pack of shabu in it.

Guinto was arrested and is under investigation to identify the inmate that he wanted to visit. (FREEMAN)
