CEBU, Philippines — For allegedly helping each other in selling dangerous drugs, three persons are facing charges before the court.

Prosecutor II Ramon Carisma held Arnel John Abella, Michelle Jane Mahinay, and Joseph Gomez, Jr., for trial after finding probable cause for violation of Section 5 (selling of shabu) in relation to Section 26 (conspiracy in selling shabu), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

“...the above-mentioned accused, conniving and confederating together and mutually helping each other, with deliberate intent, and without being authorized by law, did then and there sell, deliver or give away to a poseur buyer one heat-sealed transparent pastic pack weighing 98.9545 grams,” read the charge sheet.

In their joint-affidavit, the members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-7 and Police Regional Office (PRO)-7 stated they received information on the alleged illegal drugs trade of a certain Arnel later identified as Arnel John Abella on February 27 this year.

They verified the report and conducted a buy bust operation that led to the arrest of the three suspects.

There is no bail recommended for the three accused. (FREEMAN)
