CEBU, Philippines — The Office of the Cebu City Prosecutor has recommended no bail against two persons including a 17-year-old boy for allegedly helping each other in selling dried marijuana leaves.

Prosecutor III Noel Cellona recommended the filing of a drug case against Emmanuel Trajano and his minor companion.

Trajano, a resident of Belgium, Barangay Pasil, Cebu City, and the minor, a resident of Sitio Cañares, Barangay Lorega San Miguel, Cebu City were arrested on September 15 at around 7:30 p.m.

In his affidavit, Police Officer 3 Armando Pince, Jr. of Parian Police Station alleged that on September 15, an informant appeared before their office and told them that a certain "Ashiong", a minor, was allegedly involved in selling of marijuana.

After verifying the report, a buy-bust operation was conducted against the minor near the road in front of an inn in Barangay Lorega San Miguel.

After the transaction was completed, the Parian police placed the two accused under arrest.

The poseur buyer bought 1,997 rolled white papers containing dried leaves of marijuana weighing more than 500 grams. (FREEMAN)
