CEBU, Philippines —  Two men were shot dead by unidentified assailants in separate shooting incidents in Barangay Tangke, Talisay City and in Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City.

A 28-year-old choreographer was shot dead in Sitio Kahoyan, Barangay Mambaling while onboard his motorcycle yesterday dawn.

The police identified the victim as Louie Flores, a resident of Sitio Bato, Barangay Ermita, Cebu City.

Chief Inspector Randy Caballes, Chief of the Mambaling Police Station, said their initial investigation revealed that Flores was drinking inside the house of one of his four male dancers when he decided to go home at 4 a.m.

But just 50 meters away from the house, an unidentified assailant shot Flores, hitting different parts of his body that resulted to his instantaneous death.

“Ang iyang mga kainom kay wala daw nakakita sa nagpusil kay nagpabilin ra sila sa balay paghawa sa biktima.  Ang atoang gisunod kay una, giinitan or gikasuyaan kay dancer man siya. Ikaduha kay basin naa siyay nakabangi diri ba mao pa na atong tan-awon,”Caballes said.

The police officer also mentioned that they are currently tracing the closed-circuit television cameras near the crime scene.

Talisay Incident

Meanwhile in Sitio San Rafael, Barangay Tangke, Talisay City, 20-year-old Christopher Badajos was shot dead while riding a pedicab last Thursday evening.

Police investigation revealed that John Clint Gadiano, 18, and Badajos were on their way home onboard a pedicab driven by Junrril Sasing, 24, when they heard a series of gun shots behind them.

Gadiano and Sasing reportedly jumped out of the pedicab, leaving Badajos behind.

When the gunshots ended, Gadiano and Sasing went back to check on Badajos only to find out the victim already soaked with his own blood.

They rushed Badajos to the Talisay City District Hospital, where the victim was pronounced dead on arrival.

The victim’s mother told policemen that several days ago, her brother-in-law, uncle of the victim, threatened to kill all his nephews after pacifying him on beating his wife.

She strongly believed that the victim’s uncle is behind the victim’s death. – Gabriel Bonjoc, GAN (FREEMAN)
