PNP chief in Cebu today
CEBU, Philippines — The chief of the Philippine National Police is set to arrive in Cebu today for his first official command visit.
Director General Oscar Albayalde, who assumed the PNP post on April 21, will preside over a command conference at the Police Regional Office in Camp Sergio Osmeña in Cebu City.
“We have been preparing for his (Albayalde) arrival. In fact convoys, and road security has been arranged in areas of engagement dapat nakalatag na tanan for his first command visit,” said PRO-7 Spokesperson Reyman Tolentin.
Security briefing and defense assessment for Central Visayas are among the topics to be presented during the conference.
Aside from the command conference, the PNP chief will also grace a gun show at a mall on the North Reclamation Area.
The event aims to uphold responsible firearm ownership and to promote the firearms and ammunition industry.
Among the highlights of the event are the exhibit of firearms, ammunition, and shooting paraphernalia; and the issuance of permit to carry firearms outside of residence (PTCFOR) and license to own and possess firearms (LTOPF). — KBQ (FREEMAN)
