Masbate’s most wanted nabbed in San Remigio

CEBU, Philippines — The most wanted personality of Cawayan, Masbate was arrested in Barangay Looc Sur, San Remegio, Cebu on Saturday afternoon by virtue of an arrest warrant for rape charges.

The suspect identified as Robert Solasco, 42, of Cawayan, Masbate is facing seven counts of rape in his place.

Police Officer 2 Rino Inso of San Remegio Police said that Cawayan Police coordinated with them after receiving information that Solasco is in San Remegio.

Operatives of Cawayan Police and San Remegio Police immediately implemented the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Arturo Clemente Revil of Regional Trial Court 49 of Cataingan, Masbate.

Inso said that Solasco did not resist arrest and immediately surrendered to authorities.

Solasco allegedly stayed in Barangay Looc Sur with his wife after the rape incident that he allegedly committed in 2017 in Masbate.

Solasco is temporarily detained in San Remegio Police and will be presented to the court in Masbate. (FREEMAN)
