CEBU, Philippines - Two alleged drug personalities in Liloan town were shot to death by unidentified men shortly after they surrendered to authorities last Friday night.

The two were identified as Emmanuel Quirol alias Maning, 39, a resident of Sitio Cogon, Barangay Poblacion, Liloan, and Marlo Magdadaro, 31, a resident of Barangay San Vicente, Liloan.

"Didto ni sila gikan sa barangay hall kay gikuhaan ni sila'g mug shot ug thumb print human sila mu-surrender," said PO3 Jason Gayo of the Liloan Police.

From the barangay hall, Quirol and Magdadaro walked home but when they reached the area near the San Roque Church, four men on board a motorcycle with helmets shot them.

They were brought to the hospital but did not make it there alive.

Police recovered from the crime scene four empty shells of a .45 caliber pistol, three deformed slugs, hand rolled tin foils, a sachet of shabu, as well as a motorcycle.

Gayo said Quirol was in their watchlist.

Meanwhile, a suspected drug pusher landed in the hospital after he was shot by two unidentified assailants also on board a motorcycle in Tuburan town last Thursday night.

The victim was identified as Joel Lariosa, 32, a resident of Barangay 6 in the town.

Investigation revealed that Lariosa was driving his motorcycle in Tabo-tabo Street in Barangay 3 when the suspects followed him and shot him once.

Lariosa reportedly still managed to drive further but eventually fell in front of a store. The suspects who were still following him also stopped. The suspect riding in pillion disembarked and shot Lariosa one more time.

Lariosa was brought to Tuburan the District Hospital and was later transferred to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.

Police Officer 1 Elison Ursal said cops tried to pursue the suspects that night but failed. (FREEMAN)
