Anti-flooding technology now in Cebu

CEBU, Philippines - A Korean firm has brought to Cebu its technology to help clean rivers and waterways to solve the flooding problem during rainy days.

Erdolfo Moreno, operations manager of Cebu-based Hyundam Ultimate Marketing, has announced that it has acquired certificate of sole distributorship of Rotary Type Auto Screening Remover from MS-Tech Co., Ltd. on May 11.

The certificate signed by Myeng Hoi Hwang stated that no other entity, individual, agency, or business office from the Philippines shall be authorized to make business transactions to its office except Hyundam Ultimate Marketing with business address at 2440-B Villalon Drive, Capitol Site, Cebu City.

“Any matter or concerns pertaining transactions in the Philippines, may it be personal or official shall pass through Hyundam Ultimate Marketing,” it said.

Moreno said the facility is to be installed to prevent damage caused by flooding during rainy season in pump stations. Upon initial flooding, the inflow of large amount of wastes is automatically removed out of the waterway by a device.

The device is installed on the absorption side of the water gateway to keep the water pump operations from clogging interference caused by branches, grass, household waste and other debris.

While he cannot divulge yet the price to install the facility, Moreno said their target clients include local government units, non-government organizations, other business entities, education sector, environmentalists and other general public.

During the product presentation, Moreno said the company’s advocacy of working steadily by inculcating Korean technology among their clienteles as the major mechanism and component in minimizing or even eradicating the by-products of industrialization and domestic wastes in the ecosystem.

Present during the presentation were Hyundam Ultimate Marketing proprietress Marlyn Mangubat and two Korean shareholders, Youngsoo Kim Jim and Dae-Sung Yu. — (FREEMAN)
