Policeman caught by wife with other woman in bed

CEBU, Philippines - A police officer ended up in jail after he was caught by his wife sleeping with another woman in Sibonga town yesterday.

The bizarre love affair between PO1 Bernardo Banugon and a certain Trishia Rendon resulted to their arrest after the policeman’s wife caught them on bed in their ancestral house in Barangay Bahay.

Banugon who is assigned in Argao reportedly did not go home Thursday night prompting the wife to check for him at her in-laws house. The wife discovered that her husband is with his alleged paramour in the room prompting her to call assistance from Sibonga Police Station.

SPO4 Rodelito Carillo who responded to the wife’s call said they saw Banugon inside the room sleeping together with Rendon.

Banugon’s brother who is also a policeman assigned in Argao admitted he knew his brother’s illicit affair. SPO2 Ramuel Banugon said he already warned him about it but his brother persisted.

“Ako bitaw nang gibadlong akong manghod, unsaon man wala man maminaw nako,” Ramuel told The FREEMAN.

In fact, he already scolded him about it because his affair has affected his work. Banugon has always been absent for work since his affair with Rendon.

Argao police chief Wilbert Parilla said that Banugon has been always absent for the past few days. In fact, he already placed him under investigation for his habitual absences.

According to Parilla, there were instances that Banugon would ask permission to go out for awhile to buy something but he would never come back. Parilla said he subjected Banugon to a drug test the other day after his wife complained that he is using illegal drugs.

Acting Cebu Provincial Police director Patrocinio Comendador said Banugon will be placed under administrative investigation aside from the possible criminal charges he will be facing for violation of the Republic Act 9262 otherwise known as the Violence Against Women and Children.  (FREEMAN)
