Mabolo Parish priest loses cash, cellphones to thieves

CEBU, Philippines - Not even the convent is respected anymore.

This as a priest lost cash and valuables when thieves broke into his room at the convent of the Mabolo Parish Church.

The victim was identified as Fr. Glenn Therese Guanzon, 42, parish priest of Mabolo.

He lost P15,000 cash and two cellular phones estimated to cost P10,000.

PO3 Larry Mausisa of the Mabolo Police Station told radio station dySS Super Radyo that the complaint was filed at their station around 9 am yesterday by an acolyte of the parish.

Mausisa said that the thieves broke into the room by destroying the padlock.
