Adidas’ “Snake Skin Pack”

CEBU, Philippines — Adidas, through its Adidas Originals imprint, recently unveiled a new line of snakeskin-themed footwear that sets a quirky tone to the traditional design of neon-streaked shoes.

Dubbed “Snake Skin Pack,” the collection is mainly composed of snakeskin-decked Stan Smiths, snakeskin Adilette slides, snakeskinned Continental 80s, and a pair of snakeskin Falcons.

Made from Italian Pellegrini leather, the line’s unveiling comes after the many fashion forecasts citing that snakeskin themes in fashion is making a comeback this year.

The likes of Priyanka Chopra, Rihanna, and Kim Kardashian, who’ve been spotted wearing snakeskin-themed ensembles and footwear early on in the year, have been noted by fashion editors to be “early adopters” of the trend.

The unveiling comes amid the continuing popularity of the athleisure trend, an extension that gives the trend a timely flair.

Burberry’s new eco-conscientious collection

The Burberry brand recently unveiled new a capsule collection made from a type of fiber that’s made from fabric scraps, upcycled industrial plastics and recycled fishing nets.

Dubbed the “Econyl Capsule Collection,” the eco-conscientious line is composed of four pieces for men and seven pieces for women which ranges from longline jackets to trench coats. A backpack is also included in the collection.

Named after the fabric Econyl, which was developed by global synthetic fiber manufacturer Aquafil, the line focuses on “outwear” – highlighting the material’s durable and weather-worthy qualities.

The collection’s unveiling runs in congruence with the release of similar Econyl products by other brands, speaking of how the world’s leading fast fashion industry players are keen on doing their part to lessen the growing volume of fabric refuse.
