Good food with good company

Yasunari Ramon Suarez Taguchi - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — It’s been close to two years since the place opened, offering a warm welcome to anyone on the lookout for good food in the company of good friends and conversation.

The brainchild of Chef Mikel Sala, Sal’s Kitchen is a no-frills resto that’s been delighting diners with its range of popular bar food fare at Turning Wheels Craft Brewery along P. Almendras Street in Mabolo. The resto serves dishes that complete the hanging-out-with- friends experience while sating gastronomic fancies.

Topping its menu is its house and cheese burgers, specials that are perfect complements to a selection of dipping snacks (French Fries, Fried Pickles and Wontons) served with special house-blended chimichurri sauces. Its selection of chicken and pork tacos has smitten customers – just as its “Shrimp Poppers” and “Tostadas.”

Like most bar food fare, Sal’s menu completes the pub grub ideal – simple and on the salty side, but effective in making weekends at the bar with friends the best part of the week.
